Artist Bio
Appalachian born and Ivy League educated, Portland watercolor artist Jane Levy Campbell paints landscapes, detailed botanical studies and still-lifes combining the spareness of asian compositions and formal chinese brush study with a western sense of light and form. Series inspired by her love of hiking, travel and gardening include Pacific Northwest, Japanese Gardens, Hoyt Arboretum, Fanno Creek, Four Pole Creek, France and Hawaii. Works range from postcard size to over twenty feet long.
